What's Your CARma?

Our friends at Bill Rapp Subaru created this infographic that will add a little zen to your car den while en-route or stopped in traffic. Stay calm and engaged during long road trips, on your way to work or picking up the kids from school!

Mindfulness through attention and intention is key to driving safely - please be aware of your surroundings when initiating car yoga.

1) BELLY BREATHING ~ DIAPHRAMATIC BREATHING

Slow deep breathing will calm the mind and help with focus.

2) HAND YOGA ~ MUDRA YOGA

Remember to caress the wheel instead of gripping it to help with neck and shoulder tension.

3) GET RID OF LEAD FOOT

Help with circulation in the feet and keep your drivers foot relaxed to stay within the speed limit. Sometimes my driving foot can be #50..

4) CHECK YOUR BLIND SPOT

Keep your head above your ears and maintain neck motion to see those blind spots. Turn your head slowly to efficiently look side to side for a more panoramic view.

5) TURN YOUR ROAR INTO LIONS BREATH!

Lions Breath is really a small roar of a sigh to exhale ALL of the stagnant air from the lungs to make you feel fresh and renewed. This also helps to relieve some stress in your face and remember to only cross your eyes when in park!

6) SEATED CAT/COW ~MOVEMENT THERAPY

Seated Cat/Cow in the car is a great core and spine movement that will help alleviate shoulder, neck and back issues to keep you focused on the road ahead. This is a nice way to roll on the sitting bones and make your bum(seat) car seat happy.
